The Ngaio Marsh Awards, in association with Whanganui District Libraries and Lit – Whanganui Booklovers Festival, invites booklovers to a thrilling evening of criminally good conversation with four talented North Island storytellers.
Crime writing has come a long way since Dame Ngaio Marsh set a handful of her popular Inspector Alleyn tales among the landscapes of Aotearoa, shifting from puzzling entertainments to modern tales delving deeply into people, places, and psychology.
Ngaios Best Novel winner Charity Norman will chair a fascinating panel discussion with pathologist and past Ngaios Best Non-Fiction finalist Cynric Temple-Camp, Manawatū mystery writer and Queer Indie Award nominee GB Ralph, and TV producer and past Ngaios Best First Novel finalist Stephen Johnson

WHERE: Davis Library, 1 Pukenamu Drive, Whanganui
WHEN: 6pm doors open for a 6.30pm panel discussion

Refreshments provided
If anyone has a book to return, please do so immediately. For efficient running of the library, we need books returned on time please. Kindly make contact if you are unable to. If you cannot make the meeting, please return the book as soon as you can. Do not leave it until your next book club as a person from another group will be waiting for your copy. To those of you who are unaware, there’s an old fashioned postal slot at ankle height in the street door of the children’s room. Books that are not too bulky will fit through this slot, should the shop be closed when you are returning your book.
Our plan for the library this year is to expand our range of library books with an assortment of both fiction and non-fiction titles. We like to have our library filled with books that will generate excellent bookclub discussions. Here is our updated Book Lending Library List.
Yours-in-pukapuka,
